This scholarship was established
in the memory of Charles T. Wright, Jr., a computer engineering faculty
member who was an active mentor to students, including regularly serving
as a PWSE Summer Intern mentor. The purpose of this scholarship is
to encourage women to enter and remain in a science or engineering
field. Each scholarship is in the amount of $1000.Students
must be admitted to Iowa State University to be eligible.
The scholarship is awarded
to female students majoring in mathematics, physical or computer sciences,
or engineering. It is awarded in the spring for a student's upcoming
sophomore or junior year. This scholarship is awarded for an academic
year.
Current undergraduate students
or transfer students may apply for this scholarship.
