The Program for Women in Science and Engineering welcomes students transferring to Iowa State and works to make your transition successful. Below are some options and resources for our incoming transfer students to get involved with PWSE!

WiSE Transfer Learning Community

The Transfer Learning Community is open to all female transfer students in a STEM major (science, technology, engineering, or math) who are new to Iowa State University. The WiSE Transfer Learning Community offers both a residential option as well as non-residential options and is a great way to connect with other women in STEM fields who have similar interests and career goals as you. Second-year Success Course

Take part in our second-year success course U ST 201X designed to connect women in STEM to their futures. With a focus on career development, peer mentors will get you thinking about what skills you need to learn today in order to acheive your goals. Learn more about our Second-year Success course...


Transfer students may apply for our $1,000 to $2,000 scholarships offered to undergrauduate women in STEM fields. Applications are due by February 1st each year. Learn more...
